The Temple Emunah climate change working group was created to find ways that we, as individuals and as a community, can reduce the emission of greenhouse gases that cause climate change.

Jewish Alliance for Law and Social Action

The Jewish Alliance for Law and Social Action (JALSA) engages the Jewish community in promoting civil rights, protecting civil liberties, and achieving social, economic, environmental, and racial justice. JALSA is guided by fundamental Jewish values and a vision for a world in which every person has the opportunity to be healthy, safe, and economically secure, free from fear and discrimination. JALSA’s environmental advocacy is based on the principles of climate justice, which works to both achieve climate sustainability and secure relief for low-income communities and communities of color who are disproportionately impacted by climate change. JALSA seeks to accomplish this through a combination of coalition-based grassroots legislative advocacy, lobbying, and participatory educational workshops on the connections between climate justice, environmental sustainability, and Jewish values.
