The Mak’haylah is the chorus of Temple Emunah. One can have religious experiences in various ways: through words, meditation, righteous deeds, and music. The Mak’haylah enhances the spiritual and religious experience of its members through song. At the same time, the Mak’haylah brings a musical dimension to Temple Emunah functions and religious services, and to the outside community as well. Its repertoire includes liturgical, Zionist, Yiddish, Holocaust, and Jewish celebrational songs.
New members are always welcome. There are no auditions and the ability to read or sight-read music is not required, though such abilities are helpful.
