When

March 27, 2024
8:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Join the LIJS (Lexington Institute of Jewish Studies) for a new class offering: Are We What We Eat? This course is free and will be held in person and available on Zoom. For this class, Rabbi Kling Perkins will be teaching on “Modern and Ancient Food Choices: How Do They Connect?”

Description: Jewish tradition has a lot to say about kashrut, but does it have anything to say about veganism, lab grown meat, or factory farmed food? We’ll reflect on some attempts to turn to ancient sources for greater insight on modern questions.
