Join the LIJS (Lexington Institute of Jewish Studies) for a new class offering: Are We What We Eat? This course is free and will be held in person and available on Zoom. For this class, Rabbi Karen Thomashow will be teaching on “Are We What We Put on our Seder Plates?”.

Description: There is an extremely meaningful history of the symbolic foods placed on our Seder plates during Pesach. There is also a modern tradition of adding items to the plate. We will explore the history of the symbols, the modern traditions, and conclude with a proposal for this unique year, post October 7.
