Bess Ezekiel Rosh Hodesh Group: 100 Saturdays

When

December 19, 2023
6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

The discussion will be led by Grace Benveniste on the book “One Hundred Saturdays” by Michael Frank, subtitled “Stella Levi and the Search for a Lost World” about her life in the Jewish community of Rhodes. We encourage you to read the book before our talk. It is available in the Minuteman Library network – and we have purchased 6 paperback copies of the book – if you want one, please let Leah know and we can arrange a drop-off or pick-up. Please RSVP to Leah Sugarman.

The Bess Ezekiel Rosh Hodesh Group is dedicated to the memory of Bess Ezekiel (z”l), who was one of the founders of the original Rosh Hodesh group at Temple Emunah formed under the leadership of Rabbi Bernard Eisenman. Bess was a teacher by training and became a Bat Mitzvah as an adult. She was deeply committed to lifelong learning. The Bess Ezekiel Rosh Hodesh Group is funded by the Bess Ezekiel Memorial Fund and is open to all female identifying members of the Emunah community.
