Antisemitism: Past, Present, & Future; A Conversation with Jeremy Burton, Executive Director JCRC

When

October 17, 2021
10:00 am - 11:45 am

The Temple Emunah Adult Education Committee is organizing a year of learning around the issue of antisemitism (Jew hatred) which never leaves us. The issue of antisemitism impacts each and every one of us, from our kids to our elders.

We begin our year of learning about Jew hatred with Jeremy Burton, executive director of JCRC, who will lead a conversation with our community via Zoom.
Jeremy Burton, executive director of JCRC, will lead a conversation with our community via Zoom. He will focus on his own story and the work of JCRC in relation to antisemitism and also share how the various Jewish communal organizations in Boston (CJP, JCRC, ADL, AJC, etc.) work together to respond to antisemitic issues (local, national, world-wide) within the Boston Jewish community. A q&a session will follow.

About Jeremy:
Jeremy Burton joined the Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Boston (JCRC) as Executive Director in October 2011, after playing leadership roles in many Jewish organizations as well as government and political campaigns. Under Jeremy’s leadership, JCRC has thrived as a national model for community relations, with a core mission of building a network of Jewish organizations that is a leader in the public square, connected through enduring partnerships beyond our community in service to Jewish concerns and the collective good.
