For thousands of years, Jews have been readings old texts and writing new ones. Recently, a group of Israeli women have been adding their own creative voices to the Jewish literary cannon.  Join Rabbi Kling Perkins to explore Dirshuni, edited by Tamar Biala, a newly published collection of Israeli women’s midrash (creative writing inspired by biblical and rabbinic texts,) now out in English translation. We will explore how these women used an old structure to offer new insights, and see how those ideas impact our own understanding of the Bible, Judaism, and the world around us.
