Come to minyan at 7:30. Then stay after for Dementia Friends Workshop & Brainstorm!
Dementia Friends is a global public awareness program that helps every member of a community learn five key messages about how dementia affects people, and how each person can make a difference through respect, patience, and communication skills.
JF&CS in Waltham leads Dementia Friends for MA, and the program director Beth Soltzberg will lead a session specifically designed for the Jewish community. At the end, Beth and Hebrew College Rabbinic Intern Carrie Watkins will facilitate a short discussion on how the Emunah community might best support its members who either have dementia or are caregivers for someone with dementia.
Each participant will be counted as a Dementia Friend at the end. To learn more about Dementia Friends, watch this 2 minute overview video and visit us at www.dementiafriendsma.org. Click here to RSVP!
