Preventing Antisemitism Shabbat 2025

Join us for a Preventing Antisemitism Shabbat service with guest speaker Stephen Van Evera, co-Chair of LUAA (Lexington United Against Antisemitism) and professor of political science emeritus at MIT. Francine Jacobs, also a co-Chair of LUAA as well as a Temple Emunah member, will introduce both LUAA and Professor Van Evera. We will also be celebrating Brotherhood Shabbat at this Shabbat morning service.

From 1991-2023, Steve taught courses, and wrote, on U.S. foreign policy, national security policy, and on the causes, resolution, and prevention of wars and armed conflicts, including WWI, WWII, the Russia-Ukraine conflict, the Balkan wars of the 1990s, and the Arab-Israeli conflict. Steve has lived in Lexington since 1997, and is an active member of Pilgrim Congregational Church in Lexington, where he has served in multiple leadership roles, including on the church council.
