Immigrant Support

Our efforts in this area are based on the recognition that each person is created in the image of God, b’tzelem Elohim, and motivated by the commandment Do not stand idly by (Leviticus 19:16). As needs arise, different groups of Temple Emunah members have mobilized to support families and individuals, in partnership with organizations who have expertise working with refugees and immigrants.  

Over time, Temple Emunah members have engaged in a variety of activities to support our neighbors. Examples include:

• A Rapid Response program to contribute vital goods and services to Ascentria Care Alliance clients – contact Susan Cook for details.
• Adopting immigrant families in partnership with resettlement agencies such as JFS of Metrowest and Ascentria.
• Participating in the weekly Standout organized by Bearing Witness
